Fake Labeling Ok, Impotent Gov Does Nothing
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) has caught yet another privately owned business doctoring the product content on its labels. After investigating and testing the suspect company and its product ingredient officials found that the company misbranded and undeclared key ingredients in some of its products. After finding these misgivings the company was ordered to stop selling the products. Officials called the company and said, hey stop selling that stuff.
After laboratory analysis two pesticides were found in the product but weren’t labeled as ingredients, which conflict with product claims of the company. Because of this an order was issued to stop sales, use, and to remove the product (SSSURO) from circulation. Since the advent of the product the company has made good profits but the ODA mentions nothing about financially penalizing the company for its transgressions.
In an alleged press conference Oregon Governor Kate Brown told reporters, we caught the bad guys, we’re going to make the citizens pay for this. Our government funding this year is lower, our budget was reduced and now we have to safeguard citizens, it’s not fair. We need to increase pensions and salaries, taxpayers need to take care of us, since they’re not, we’re not going to penalize the company as they’re doing what we do, stick it to joe public!
